The New Century Adult Detention Center is the main jail for Johnson County. There is also the Central Booking Facility. They have a capacity of over 1,000 inmates. The jail is operated by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, and is under the command of Major Rick Newson.

Visitation can be done through onsite kiosks or remotely. Each visit is 30 minutes, and there can only be one adult visitor per scheduled visit.
